Funder or customer maintained: what is a maintenance agreement?
When you finance a personal or business vehicle, you'll need to choose a funder maintained or customer maintained agreement. Having maintenance cover saves time and stress and is often the preferred choice for our commercial van lease customers. It does add cost to your monthly finance agreement. However, we factor this in at the quote stage to know exactly how much you're paying each month.
Funder maintained includes:
- Routine Servicing
- Mechanical Repairs
- Tyres
- Batteries
- Exhausts
- Breakdown Recovery
- Road Tax
- Replacement Vehicle (available at a small additional cost)
Customer maintained includes:
- Breakdown Recovery
- Road Tax
Why choose a maintained package?
- A fixed monthly cost
- No unplanned maintenance charges
- Fully qualified dealer approved technicians and garages
- Claim back 100% of the maintenance VAT element of your agreement (VAT Registered Businesses Only)
What a maintained package doesn't include
- Driver error or driver induced faults
- Accident damage
- Missing/Broken items
- Vandalism or stolen items
- Windscreen and glass replacement
- Fuelling Error
- Lubricant and Fluid Top Ups between service intervals
Funder Maintained cover provides you with a comprehensive solution to your vehicle maintenance needs, which will save you both time and money should your vehicle break down. We strongly recommend maintenance cover - the small cost could equate to significant savings.
