UK customers can now place orders for the new Lepas L8 PHEV, with the plug-in hybrid SUV arriving with a starting price of £34,900.
Lepas has officially opened the order books for its new L8 PHEV, giving UK buyers their first opportunity to order the brand’s latest plug-in hybrid SUV.
The L8 PHEV will be available in two trim levels, with the entry-level Essence priced from £34,900 on-the-road (OTR). The higher-spec Elevate starts from £37,900 OTR.
The opening of the order books marks another important step for Lepas as the Chinese automotive brand establishes itself in the UK market. Its first dealerships are now opening, with vehicles also beginning to arrive in the country.
Two L8 PHEV Models Available
The L8 PHEV will launch in the UK in Essence and Elevate specifications, giving buyers a choice between the two versions.
Lepas is also offering eligible private customers a £500 Test Drive Voucher. The incentive is deducted from the vehicle’s OTR price when customers complete a test drive before ordering and registering a new L8 PHEV within the qualifying period.
The offer is available until 30 September 2026.
Lepas UK managing director Ray Wang said the company had spent recent months preparing for the L8 PHEV’s arrival, including establishing its initial dealer network and putting finance and leasing arrangements in place.
The brand has appointed Black Horse and Lex Autolease as its finance and leasing partners, giving customers access to funding options as the L8 PHEV goes on sale.
Plug-In Hybrid Powertrain
The L8 PHEV uses Lepas’ Super Hybrid System, combining a 1.5-litre petrol engine, electric motor and 18.4kWh battery pack.
The combination is designed to allow the SUV to complete shorter journeys using electric power alone, while the petrol engine provides additional range for longer trips.
Lepas claims the L8 PHEV can travel for up to 56 miles on electric power, while its maximum combined driving range is rated at up to 745 miles.
That combination could make the L8 PHEV an appealing option for drivers looking for an electrified vehicle without relying entirely on charging infrastructure for longer trips.
Lepas Expands Its UK Line-Up
The arrival of the L8 PHEV comes as Lepas continues to build its presence in the UK.
The brand is part of the wider Chery Group and is positioning itself in the premium end of the market, with the L8 PHEV providing an alternative to established plug-in hybrid SUVs
With orders now open, the first UK customers can begin placing orders for the L8 PHEV ahead of deliveries.
The combination of a £34,900 starting price, up to 56 miles of electric range and a claimed 745-mile total range gives Lepas a strong starting point as it looks to establish its new brand in the increasingly competitive UK electrified SUV market.
