Vauxhall set to debut the new Vivaro at Birmingham's NEC - April 24-26
Prices for the new Vauxhall Vivaro van, due for a late Summer 2019 delivery, starts at £21,240. Continuing to be built at Vauxhall's Luton factory under Groupe PSA, a French multinational manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles sold under the Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall brands, the vehicle will be available in three trim levels: Vivaro Edition from £21,240, Vivaro Sportive from £24,140 and the Vivaro Elite starting from £25,545.
New sizes and lengths
As a panel van, a double-cab van (for up to six occupants), and a platform chassis, the new versions come in two lengths and three body styles; 4.95m SWB version and a larger 5.30m LWB version, with a maximum cargo capacity of 6.6m3. The 5.30m version can stow objects up to 4.02m in length with FlexCargo – an optional load-through flap under the front passenger seat. FlexCargo also lets you fold down the back of the middle seat into a table for documents, laptop, notebook or tablet.
The Vivaro's 1.5-litre diesel engine will be offered with 100PS or 120PS, built with a six-speed manual gearbox, and is predicted to be the most efficient, emitting 122g/km of CO2 and achieving more than 46mpg (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure). The more powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine will be available with 120PS, 150PS and 180PS, with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Vivaro's new technology
Now, for the first time on the Vivaro, the latest technology, including daytime running lights, adaptive cruise control, digital radio with Bluetooth connection, forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking are fitted as standard, along with a dual-side sliding door (with an automatic side sliding door option available - triggered by a foot movement), driver/passenger airbags and cruise control with speed limiter.
Over and above the standard specification, the Sportive models include a seven-inch multimedia system, body-coloured mirrors, handles and body side moulds, alarm system, automatic light and wiper sensors, acoustic windscreen and thickened side glazing.
The top-of-the-range Elite model features the latest safety technology, including Lane Departure Warning, Speed Limit Information, Intelligent Speed Adaptation, Driver Attention Alert Level Three and Blind Spot Detection.
The payload is rated at up to 1,400kg – 200kg more than the current Vivaro, and the maximum trailer load increases to 2,500Kg - 500Kg more than the current model!
