Kia has confirmed UK pricing and specifications for the new GT versions of its EV3, EV4 and EV5 electric models, with all three now available to order ahead of customer deliveries later this year.
The three new performance-focused electric vehicles introduce Kia’s GT treatment to some of its newest EV models, combining dual-motor all-wheel-drive systems with increased power, sportier styling and technology designed to make the cars more engaging to drive.
Prices start at £48,695 for the Kia EV3 GT, rising to £49,345 for the EV4 GT and £54,295 for the EV5 GT.
All three models are offered in a single specification, with customers able to choose their preferred exterior colour but with no other optional equipment packages available.
Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT And EV5 GT Performance
The three GT models use a dual-motor electric powertrain with all-wheel drive, although their power outputs and acceleration figures vary between models.
The Kia EV3 GT produces 292PS, giving it a claimed 0–62mph time of 5.7 seconds.
The similarly powered Kia EV4 GT also produces 292PS, but its slightly different configuration allows it to complete 0–62mph in 5.6 seconds.
At the top of the range, the Kia EV5 GT develops 305PS and has a claimed 0–62mph time of 6.2 seconds.
| Model | Power | 0–62mph | Battery | WLTP Range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kia EV3 GT | 292PS | 5.7 seconds | 81.4kWh | Up to 334 miles |
| Kia EV4 GT | 292PS | 5.6 seconds | 81.4kWh | Up to 313 miles |
| Kia EV5 GT | 305PS | 6.2 seconds | 81.4kWh | Up to 295 miles |
The three cars are also significant for Kia because they are the first GT-badged models based on the manufacturer’s 400V E-GMP electric vehicle platform.
Each uses an 81.4kWh battery, although the quoted WLTP range differs according to the individual model.
The EV3 GT has the highest claimed range at up to 334 miles, followed by the EV4 GT at up to 313 miles and the larger EV5 GT at up to 295 miles.
128kW Rapid Charging
All three Kia GT models support charging at up to 128kW.
Kia says this allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in around 31 minutes.
The combination of the 81.4kWh battery and relatively long WLTP ranges means the GT versions are not solely focused on outright performance, with each model retaining the sort of range expected from an everyday electric vehicle.
For drivers considering an electric vehicle for longer journeys, charging speed and usable range remain important considerations alongside performance. This is particularly relevant as the UK EV charging network continues to expand.
Virtual Gears Bring A Different Driving Experience
One of the more unusual features of the new GT models is Kia’s virtual gear-shift system.
Although the cars use a conventional single-speed electric transmission, drivers can use paddles mounted behind the steering wheel to select between six simulated gears. This is one of the key differences between conventional automatic cars and electric vehicles, which typically use a single-speed transmission.
The system is designed to replicate some of the sensations associated with driving a conventionally powered performance car. It also incorporates simulated engine sounds and a virtual rev limit.
The result is intended to give drivers greater interaction with the powertrain, despite the cars being fully electric.
GT Driving Modes And Performance Technology
Kia has equipped the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT with a range of technology aimed at improving their handling and performance.
The cars feature electronically controlled suspension, while a road-preview system is designed to anticipate changes in the road surface and adjust the suspension accordingly.
An electronic dynamic torque-vectoring system is also fitted, helping manage the delivery of power between the wheels.
Other performance-focused equipment includes launch control and a performance timer.
Drivers can select from four main driving modes: GT, Sport, Normal and MyDrive.
MyDrive allows the driver to customise the vehicle’s behaviour rather than simply selecting one of the predefined driving settings.
GT Styling Sets The Models Apart
The new GT versions also receive visual changes intended to distinguish them from the standard EV3, EV4 and EV5.
GT-specific design elements include neon-coloured detailing, dedicated alloy wheels and sports seats with a semi-bucket design.
The same GT treatment is carried through to the interior, giving the three models a more performance-oriented appearance. Kia has previously used its GT treatment on models such as the Kia EV6, giving the new EV3, EV4 and EV5 GT versions a place within the wider performance-focused side of the brand’s electric range.
Despite their additional performance equipment and styling, Kia is keeping the range relatively straightforward by offering each GT model in a single UK specification.
Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT And EV5 GT Prices
UK pricing starts at £48,695 for the EV3 GT.
The EV4 GT costs from £49,345, putting it only £650 above the EV3 GT, while the larger EV5 GT is priced from £54,295.
Kia expects the EV4 GT to attract the highest level of interest from UK buyers and is forecasting that it will become the brand’s most popular GT model in the UK.
With each vehicle available in one specification, customers will primarily have the choice of exterior colour rather than having to work through multiple trim levels and option packs.
Kia’s New GT Electric Models Due Later In 2026
The EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT expand Kia’s electric line-up into a more performance-focused area, while retaining the practicality and range expected from the company’s mainstream EV range.
All three models are now available to order in the UK, with first customer deliveries expected by the end of 2026.
For drivers considering a new electric car, the three GT models provide different combinations of size, range, performance and price. They also sit alongside other electric models in Kia’s range, including the Kia EV9, a larger seven-seat electric SUV with all-wheel drive.
