the Toyota proace design
The ProAce is a joint venture of the Toyota with the PSA Group (Peugeot and Citroen), hence the Toyota ProAce, the Citroen Dispatch and the Peugeot Expert are all built in the same French factory. The ProAce has some Toyota brand identity touches to the front of the van and surely we are not alone thinking that the ProAce is the best looking one out of these three. Everything from the bonnet backwards is shared with the Berlingo and Expert though as they share the new Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2) used on passenger cars. Every van comes with a sliding door on both sides, and rear doors that open 180 degrees.
Toyota proace Specifications, Dimensions & Payload
The same as its relatives, the ProAce vans are available in two wheelbases and three body lengths, where the shortest combination offers the proAceCompact version. The other lengths are badged ProAce Medium and ProAce Long, which makes it all nice and simple to understand. Toyota ProAce offers a single roof height. The ProAce Compact van offers a maximum load length of 2160mm, the Proace Medium is able to move loads of 2510mm long and the ProAce Long can transport items 2860mm long. When fitted with a folding passenger seat and load-through bulkhead, the ProAce gets an extra 1160mm load length available.
Load volumes for the Compact, Medium and Long ProAce vans are 5.1m3, 5.8m3 and 6.6m3 respectively. The maximum payload height is 1397mm on all ProAce vans.
The maximum payload is 1487kg for a 3.1-tonne model and 1100kg for 2.6-tonne ProAce vans.
The proace van engines
Toyota ProAce is available with two 1.5-litre motors providing 100hp or 120hp and two 2.0-litre engines producing 120hp or 180hp.
All ProAce engines meet Euro-6d emissions regulations.
What's inside the Toyota proace cabin?
Some vans' interior is practical and some - more sophisticated. Toyota has managed to archive both in the Toyota ProAce range. Whichever trim you choose, you'll find plenty of cabin storage and enough room to be comfortable as a driver or a passenger. The materials inside the cab are of high quality and as a whole, the cabin feels and looks great.
Even the entry-level trim, the ProAce Active vans, are well equipped with a DAB radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, electric heated door mirrors and electric windows, cruise control, and a built-in tyre pressure monitor. Lease the next trim up, which is the Proace Icon, and you'll get rear parking sensors, air conditioning, high adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and a Smart Cargo load-through bulkhead, and also at this point, you can add 7-inch touchscreen to your Toyota ProAce Icon deal. The top specs are offered on our Toyota ProAce Design leasing deals - you will get the touchscreen, alarm, front parking sensors, blind-spot monitor and the Toyota Safety Sense pack, which contains a pre-collision system with pedestrian detector, adaptive cruise control and a head-up display.
Toyota proace and its rivals
Since the current ProAce version is based on the Citroen Dispatch and Peugeot Expert platform, it makes it a rival to the other big van brands in the middle van sector, including the Volkswagen Transporter, Ford Transit Custom, Renault Trafic and Mercedes Vito.
