Ta-da! The new all-electric Peugeot e-Boxer!

02 September 2020

Peugeot takes another step into the electrification of their commercial vehicle range

After their medium-sized van, the e-Expert, announced in Spring 2020, it's now the turn for an electric version of Peugeot's largest van, the Peugeot Boxer, which is available to lease from CVC. The electric version is to be called, as you'd expect, the e-Boxer. With Zero-Emission Zones being introduced all over the world – including the UK – and the official ban on all petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles slowly approaching, the Peugeot's goal is to offer all the original qualities of their commercial vehicles but with zero emissions, so they can be used in city centres.

Are you wondering what will the Peugeot e-Boxer be like?

Let's start WITH THe Motor and the battery

Peugeot e-Boxer has a 121hp electric motor with the choice of battery packs between 37 kWh or 70 kWh options, which are surprisingly smaller than the 50 kWh and 75 kWh installed in the e-Expert van.

What is the driving range of the peugeot e-boxer?

The 70kWh pack is expected to power the e-Boxer for up to 211 miles on a single charge (this is an estimated WLTP figure). Just like in the other large vans, the charging cable connects to the inlet located next to the driver's door.

What sizes will the e-Boxer come in?

With 4 lengths and 3 roof heights, the e-Boxer offers a decent choice of its body sizes.

the Peugeot e-boxer payload ratings

The maximum payload capacity should be up to 1890kg and the loading volume of up to 17m3 is the same as in the non-electric models, but the specific ratings depend on the e-Boxer version.

When can you expect to see the Peugeot e-Boxer leasing deals available from CVC?

We are waiting for the official confirmation but the rumours say the e-Boxer should be available to lease at the end of 2020 but possibly only at the beginning of 2021.

What other Peugeot vans will be made in the electric version?

Well, there's only one range from the Peugeot commercial family left and it's the smallest Peugeot van - the Peugeot Partner. The electric version will follow in 2021 to complete Peugeot's commercial EV lineup.
